Procedural Fairness
Transparent and fair procedures reassure students, parents and staff by providing integrity and consistency in respect to decisions made about behaviour. BC Waldorf Schools will ensure that their school specific Discipline policy/procedures/protocols include the following procedural fairness elements:
  1. Codes of conduct and rules are clear and well communicated,
  2. In accordance with school specific policy, students who are accused of breaching a rule will be notified of that of which they are accused, with the essential facts of what they are alleged to have done,
  3. Any student accused of a breach will be given an opportunity to tell their side of the story,
  4. Students and parents/guardians will be informed of any appeal or review procedure in accordance with school specific policy,
  5. The assurance of no retribution for pursuing an appeal or review,
