Policy Statement
BC Waldorf Schools are committed to delivering high quality educational programs while ensuring that our operations support the health and welfare of all staff, students and volunteers. As institutions, we readily comply with our legal obligation to adhere to provincial and federal regulations as they relate to education, child welfare, and public health. We are committed to preserving respectful and productive relationships with local health authorities, and will continue to work collaboratively with them in all matters that pertain to the health and welfare of students, families, staff, and community.  

Collection and Reporting of Vaccination Status
In accordance with the above Public Health Order and subject to Local Health Authority regulation, BC Waldorf Schools will, as and when directed by the medical health officer:
  1. request proof of vaccination from each employee and keep a record of each employee’s vaccination status with consideration of PIPA. Vaccination status will be stored securely and will not be part of employee files; 
  2. report the vaccination status of its employees on an aggregate, non-individually identifying basis by school as required by the medical health officer and by the date directed by the medical health officer;
  3. proceed on the basis that an employee who has not provided proof of vaccination is unvaccinated;
  4. will request further information from employees should the Local Health Authority require it.

In accordance with the above Public Health Order and subject to Local Health Authority regulation, Faculty and Staff at BC Waldorf Schools will:
  1. provide their employer with proof of vaccination, and any additional information required, on the request of their employer and by the date directed by their employer, and if the vaccination status of the employee changes the employee will provide this information and their vaccine proof to their employer without delay, and the employer will update the record of the employee’s vaccination status.​
